How we work

You show us the mess. We do the translating.

You will never be asked to write a technical specification. Every engagement runs the same five steps, and you know what each one costs you before it starts.

  1. Show us how you do it today

A conversation, not a requirements document.

We start by watching the real thing — the spreadsheet, the binder, the email chain, the screen your team stares at all day. No preparation needed, and nothing to write up in advance. The messier it is, the more useful it is to see.

    Your part
One conversation, about an hour. Bring whoever actually does the work.
    You get
A plain-English summary of what we saw and where the time is going.
  2. We tell you what it would take

A fixed scope and a real number, before you commit.

You get a written proposal in language you can hand to a partner or a board: what we would build, what it would cost, how long it would take, and what we would deliberately leave out of the first version. If the honest answer is that you should buy something off the shelf instead, we will say so.

    Your part
Read it, push back, ask for changes.
    You get
A fixed scope, a fixed price, and a timeline — no hourly surprises.
  3. We build the smallest useful version first

Something real in weeks, not a year-long project.

The first release solves the one problem that hurts most. You use it while we keep building, which means you are steering with something in your hands instead of guessing from a document. It also means you find out early if we got something wrong — while it is still cheap to fix.

    Your part
Try it. Tell us what is wrong.
    You get
Working software your team can use, early.
  4. We put it in front of your people

Rollout, training, and the awkward first week.

A system nobody uses is a system nobody bought. We handle the migration of your existing data, train the people who will live in it, and stay close through the first weeks when the real edge cases surface.

    Your part
Give us access to the current data and an hour of your team’s time.
    You get
Your history moved over, your team trained, and documentation that fits on a page.
  5. We keep improving it

The list never stops, and that is the point.

Once people rely on something, they start asking it to do more. We work through that list on a predictable monthly basis, keep everything patched and backed up, and check in on what the system is actually being used for.

    Your part
    Send us the list.
    You get
A system that gets better every month instead of aging out.
How we behave

Four things we won’t bend on.

You own what we build

The code, the data, and the accounts are yours. No hostage situations, no proprietary platform you can only leave by starting over.

Fixed scope, fixed price

You know what it costs before we start. If we discover the job is bigger than we thought, that is a conversation, not an invoice.

Plain language, always

You will never need a translator to understand a status update from us. If we cannot explain it simply, we do not understand it well enough yet.

We say no when we should

Sometimes the right answer is a better spreadsheet, a setting you already own, or software someone else already built. We would rather tell you that than sell you a project.

What it costs

Straight answers about money.

We quote a fixed price for a fixed scope, in writing, before any work starts. Projects are broken into releases so you are never handing over a large sum against a promise — you pay as working software arrives.

After launch, most clients move to a flat monthly arrangement that covers hosting, monitoring, security updates, and a steady stream of improvements. It is a predictable line item, not a surprise invoice.

The first conversation, the walkthrough of how you work today, and the written proposal are all free. You are not buying anything until you have the number in front of you.

Start with step one.

An hour of your time, no preparation, no obligation. Worst case, you get a free outside read on where your process is leaking time.
